Dollar Bills

Full payment is due at the time of booking to secure your date. Invoices are issued via email and you may pay by credit card or e-transfer (hello@younghipandmarried.com).

Travel

Travel fees for your Young Hip & Married vendors are included unless otherwise specified with the Young Hip & Married office prior to booking.

Marriage Licence Information

You are in charge of picking up your marriage licence as YH&M is not legally able to do this. Please consult your provincial/state government website for instructions on exactly how and where to obtain your marriage licence.

Media Usage

By signing this agreement, you consent for us to use your photos/videos on our social media channels, website and/or marketing materials, with your photographer’s permission and following their attribution guidelines. If you would prefer we don’t use your photos/videos, please let us know by emailing hello@younghipandmarried.com.

Money Back Guarantee

At Young Hip & Married, we only want to officiate wedding ceremonies that our couples love. If you are not completely satisfied with the work of your officiant after the ceremony is completed, Young Hip & Married will issue you a refund.

Please note: The Young Hip & Married Money Back Guarantee only applies after your ceremony has been performed and only covers the work of your officiant, as many parts of a wedding day are outside of our control. In order to be eligible for a refund, you need to inform Young Hip & Married within three days of your ceremony.

Custom & Creative Ceremony

Refunds/Cancellations/Changes

We will issue a 50% refund of your full payment if we receive written notice of your wedding cancellation at least six weeks before your wedding date (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com). No refunds will be given for weddings cancelled within six weeks of the wedding date.

If you need to make a change to the date, time, and/or location of your ceremony, the change must be communicated in writing and approved by Young Hip & Married before it is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate any changes but cannot guarantee availability.

If your booked Young Hip & Married vendor(s) are not available for your new time/date/location, there will be a change fee of $100+tax per vendor. If no other YHM vendors are available for your new date/time/location, services will be considered cancelled and the refund policy above will apply.

Wedding Rehearsal

A rehearsal is included in your package but is subject to availability, so it is a good idea to get it booked as soon as possible. At your rehearsal, your YH&M officiant will go through your wedding ceremony with you so you have an all around idea of what to expect on the big day.

Wedding Ceremony Timing

It’s game time! We aim to arrive at least 20 mins early to help make sure your wedding starts on time and that everything goes as planned. Often our YH&M officiants have more than one wedding planned per day and need to keep a tight schedule. Please be respectful of this and start your wedding on time.

Please let your officiant know via phone/text asap if you are running late. We will do our best to accommodate a late wedding but please know we cannot guarantee that we will be able to stay to perform your ceremony. Should you be more than 15 minutes behind schedule, a fee of $50+tax per YH&M vendor will be invoiced for every 15-minute increment.

Sweet & Simple Ceremony

Refunds/Cancellations/Changes

In the event that you need to cancel your ceremony package, all monies received will be deemed non-refundable. If you need to make a change to the date, time, and/or location of your elopement the change must be communicated in writing and approved by Young Hip & Married before it is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate any changes but cannot guarantee availability.

If your booked Young Hip & Married vendor(s) are not available for your new time/date/location, there will be a change fee of $100+tax per vendor. If no other YHM vendors are available for your new date/time/location, services will be considered cancelled and the refund policy above will apply.

Guests

Your ceremony package includes up to 10 guests (Intimate Elopement) or 11-20 guests (Intimate Elopement Plus). If you’d like to increase your guest count, you can upgrade to another package for an additional fee. Please note that the couple getting married, wedding vendors, and children two years old and under do not count towards the guest count. If you have more than the maximum number of guests for your ceremony package, an additional fee (min $100) will be assessed.

Helicopter Elopement from Pitt Meadows

Refunds/Cancellations/Changes

We will issue a 50% refund of your full payment if we receive written notice of your wedding cancellation at least one week before your wedding date (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com). No refunds will be given for weddings cancelled within one week of the wedding date (see weather exception below).

If you need to make a change to the date, time, and/or location of your elopement, the change must be communicated in writing (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com) and approved by Young Hip & Married before it is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate any changes but cannot guarantee availability.

If your booked Young Hip & Married vendor(s) are not available for your new time/date/location, there will be a change fee of $100+tax per vendor. If no other YH&M vendors are available for your new date/time/location, services will be considered cancelled and the refund policy above will apply.

Wedding Ceremony Timing

It’s game time! All parties need to arrive 30 minutes early to ensure a timely departure. We allow 90 minutes for the entire trip – this includes take off, landing, flight time and ground time. We aim to give each couple 60 minutes at the landing location for the ceremony and photos/video but due to weather, these times can vary. The ceremony will last 5-10 minutes depending on what you arrange with your YH&M Officiant.

If you are late for your departure, the helicopter portion of the wedding may be cancelled without refund. Should you be more than 15 minutes behind schedule, a fee of $50+tax per Young Hip & Married vendor will be invoiced for every 15-minute increment.

Weather

Due to inclement weather, the helicopter pilot may need to change the elopement destination or postpone the elopement to a later date. We will be in communication with your pilot and will touch base with you the morning of your elopement if there are any changes you need to be aware of.

If the weather is completely un-flyable, you may rebook your helicopter elopement for another date, without the guarantee that the same YH&M vendors will be available. If the weather is completely un-flyable and you do not wish to rebook for another day, you also have the option of having your elopement that day on the ground at our Plan B location, Pitt Lake. If you choose this option, only the cost of the helicopter portion of your elopement will be refunded to you.

Restrictions

For safety reasons, there is a weight restriction of 300 lbs per seat (fully clothed); we will be collecting your weight information in advance as well as at the helicopter hangar directly before your flight. If there is a significant difference in reported and day-of weight, it could result in not flying or additional charges for an extra helicopter to accommodate.

You can fly if you’re pregnant, unless your healthcare provider has advised against it. If you are nearing your due date or have other health risks, we ask that you speak with your healthcare provider.

Guests

Your helicopter elopement includes yourselves, our officiant and our photographer, as well as any additional guests that have been arranged in advance with Young Hip & Married. All passengers’ full names, weights and emergency contact details must be confirmed at the time of booking. The same restrictions above apply to all guests. Please note, animals are not permitted at helicopter elopements.

If you are adding the Videography Package to your elopement, your videographer will be counted as a guest. If you would like to invite additional guests, please arrange this with Young Hip & Married in advance.

Helicopter Elopement from Whistler

Refunds/Cancellations/Changes

We will issue a 50% refund of your full payment if we receive written notice of your wedding cancellation at least one week before your wedding date (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com). No refunds will be given for weddings cancelled within one week of the wedding date (see weather exception below).

If you need to make a change to the date, time, and/or location of your elopement, the change must be communicated in writing (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com) and approved by Young Hip & Married before it is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate any changes but cannot guarantee availability.

If your booked Young Hip & Married vendor(s) are not available for your new time/date/location, there will be a change fee of $100+tax per vendor. If no other YH&M vendors are available for your new date/time/location, services will be considered cancelled and the refund policy above will apply.

Wedding Ceremony Timing

We allow 57 – 70 minutes (depending on which option you have chosen) for the entire trip – this includes take off, landing, flight time and ground time. We aim to give each couple 45 minutes at the landing location for the ceremony and photos/video but due to weather, these times can vary. The ceremony will last 5-10 minutes depending on what you arrange with your YH&M Officiant.

If you are late for your departure, the helicopter portion of the wedding may be cancelled without refund. Should you be more than 15 minutes behind schedule, a fee of $50+tax per Young Hip & Married vendor will be invoiced for every 15-minute increment.

For safety reasons, there is a weight restriction of 300 lbs per seat (fully clothed) as well as a total weight restriction for the aircraft (fluctuates by weather and season); we will be collecting your weight information in advance as well as at the helicopter hangar directly before your flight. If there is a significant difference in reported and day-of weight or if the total weight capacity of the helicopter is exceeded, it could result in not flying or additional charges for an extra helicopter to accommodate.

You can fly if you’re pregnant, unless your healthcare provider has advised against it. If you are nearing your due date or have other health risks, we ask that you speak with your healthcare provider.

Guests

Your helicopter elopement includes yourselves, our officiant and photographer, and 1-5 guests. All passengers’ full names, weights and emergency contact details must be confirmed at the time of booking. The same restrictions above apply to your guests. Please note, animals are not permitted at helicopter elopements.

If you are adding the Videography Package to your elopement, your videographer will be counted as a guest. If you would like to invite additional guests, please arrange this with Young Hip & Married in advance.

Seaplane Elopement

Refunds/Cancellations/Changes

We will issue a 50% refund of your full payment if we receive written notice of your wedding cancellation at least one week before your wedding date (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com). No refunds will be given for weddings cancelled within one week of the wedding date (see weather exception below).

If you need to make a change to the date, time, and/or location of your elopement, the change must be communicated in writing (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com) and approved by Young Hip & Married before it is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate any changes but cannot guarantee availability.

If your booked Young Hip & Married vendor(s) are not available for your new time/date/location, there will be a change fee of $100+tax per vendor. If no other YHM vendors are available for your new date/time/location, services will be considered cancelled and the refund policy above will apply.

Wedding Ceremony Timing

If the weather is completely un-flyable, you may rebook your seaplane elopement for another date, without the guarantee that the same YH&M vendors will be available. If the weather is completely un-flyable and you do not wish to rebook for another day, you also have the option of having your elopement that day on the ground at a predetermined Plan B location. If you choose this option, only the cost of the seaplane portion of your elopement will be refunded to you.

Restrictions

For safety reasons, there is a weight restriction for the aircraft (fluctuates by weather and season); we will be collecting your weight information (fully clothed) in advance as well as at the terminal directly before your flight. If the weight capacity of the aircraft is exceeded or there is a significant difference in reported and day-of weight, it could result in not flying or additional charges for an extra aircraft to accommodate.

You can fly if you’re pregnant, unless your healthcare provider has advised against it. If you are nearing your due date or have other health risks, we ask that you speak with your healthcare provider.

Life jackets are required to be worn during all flights, except for children under 2 years of age.

Guests

Your seaplane elopement includes yourselves, our officiant and photographer, and one guest. All passengers’ full names, weights and emergency contact details must be confirmed at the time of booking. The same restrictions above apply to your guest.

If you are adding the Videography Package to your elopement, your videographer will be counted as a guest. If you would like to invite additional guests, please arrange this with Young Hip & Married in advance.

Runway Elopement

Refunds/Cancellations/Changes

We will issue 50% of your full payment if we receive written notice of your wedding cancellation at least 6 weeks before your wedding date (sent to hello@younghipandmarried.com). No refunds will be given within 6 weeks of your wedding date.

If you need to make a change to the date of your ceremony, the change must be communicated in writing at least one week prior to your wedding date and approved by Young Hip and Married before it is confirmed. We will do our best to accommodate any change but can not guarantee availability.

If your booked Young Hip & Married vendor(s) are not available for your new time/date/location, there will be a change fee of $100+tax per vendor. If no other YHM vendors are available for your new date/time/location, services will be considered cancelled and the refund policy above will apply.
